This virus spreads in respiratory droplets projected when a person speaks, coughs or sneezes. It enters the body through your mouth, nose or eyes.
What You Should Do
- Stay 6 feet away from others when possible, but especially when facing or speaking with another person.
- Use your upper arm to cover a cough or sneeze.
- Don’t touch your face, eat or prepare food without first disinfecting your hands by washing with soap and water or using hand sanitizer.
- Wash your hands frequently and disinfect surfaces. This reduces the likelihood of anyone accidentally touching their face or eating with contaminated hands.
